COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – A Texas teenager has been arrested for hiring someone to kill his parents.

Nicolas Patrick Shaughnessy, 19, and his girlfriend, Jaclyn Alexa Edison, 19, are in the Travis County Jail. They’re both charged with soliciting to commit capital murder, a first degree felony.

Shaughnessy is being held on a $3,000,000 bond, Edison faces a $1,000,000 bond.

The last known address for both teens was in College Station, according to authorities.

Shaughnessy and Edison are alleged to have conspired together and hired someone to murder Shaughnessy’s parents, Theodore and Corey Shaughnessy.

At 4:45 am on Friday, March 2, 2018, Corey Shaughnessy called 911 and reported that an intruder had entered her home in the 9000 block of Oliver Drive in Travis County, and that multiple shots had been fired. When deputies arrived on scene they discovered the body of Theodore Shaughnessy with multiple gunshot wounds.

Theodore, an Austin jewelry store owner, died in the attack. His wife was not injured.
