ARLINGTON, MA – The town’s first medical marijuana dispensary, Apothca, opened its doors Friday at 8 Water St., according to a company press release. It is the company’s first of three planned dispensaries in Massachusetts – a second store will open in Lynn in the coming weeks and a third in Boston is slated for 2020.

“Apothca is excited at the opportunity to serve the medical cannabis needs of the patients of Arlington and surrounding communities,” Daniel Karten, co-founder of Apothca, said in a statement. “As Arlington’s only Registered Marijuana Dispensary, we understand the gravity of our mission and our team of cultivators, extractors and patient advocates are ready to take on the challenge.”

Apothca is a vertically integrated cannabis company with a 26-acre cultivation campus in Fitchburg that includes the state’s first greenhouse, according to a press release. Products include flower, concentrates, pre-rolled joints, edibles, tinctures, and full-spectrum CBD products.

The company operates a recreational marijuana dispensary in Eugene, Oregon, and is launching cultivation, extraction, research and export operations in Colombia.
